You can have the Nation's fastest-growing Black-owned plant-based ice cream brand delivered to your home!
Cajou Creamery is a dairy-free ice cream label founded by Chef Dwight Campbell and his wife Nicole Foster, a public health attorney.
Based out of Baltimore, Maryland, the brand ships its product countrywide. It offers exotic flavors such as sweet potato pie, Mexican cacao, and baklava.
Dwight and Nicole started experimenting with dairy-free ice cream for their two kids who love ice cream but didn't enjoy it because they're lactose intolerant.
What started as a hobby in their house turned into a thriving business three years ago. They saw the need to expand their menu and offer additional flavors such as blueberry cheesecake, horchata, cortadito, and kulfi.
During an interview with the Thrillist, Nicole said. "People hear plant-based or vegan, and they go ick like they are dirty words. Another common story we hear is of how someone hasn't had ice cream for 20 years. We give them that experience by ensuring people connect to whole foods and feel the love we put into making the product.
Currently, their product sells in more than 35 stores and farmer's markets throughout D.C. and Maryland.
When you order through their online store, they will deliver it to your doorstep.
Additionally, they plan to open their first ice cream café in Baltimore, Maryland, this year.
