Columbus is an absolutely booming Midwest sector of the United States. Recently, the city just surpassed San Francisco, becoming the ninth most populated in the country.
Here are some of the best and most wholesome food spots you should check out if you are in the area!
Vida's Plant-Based Butcher
Carl Underwood IV started Truly Vida in 2018 to supply restaurants with more environmentally/human-friendly cuisine. Their wholesale operation supplied restaurants like Dirty Franks, N.High Brewing, 4th & State, and Eden Burger prior to expansion.
On 10/02/2020, they opened a retail location by the name of Vida’s Plant-Based Butcher Shop. They serve vegan versions of delicatessen specialties.
Meats: Bacon, Chicken, Turkey, Ham, Pepperoni, Corned Beef, Sausage
Cheeses: Gouda, Pepper Jack, Havarti, Provolone, Mozzarella, Cheddar, Colby
This restaurant has seen major foot traffic since its opening and will eventually have rights to a liquor license and outdoor patio seating.
Eden Burger
this vegan fast food spot has burgers, milkshakes, and all the makings of organic Johnny Rockets. Their food is pesticide-free and their practices are incredibly holistic.
With compostable/biodegradable packaging this place goes the extra mile to ensure quality in all aspects.
Utensils: made of cornstarch
Straws: Silicone/Metal (upon request)
Mason Jars > Single-Use Cups
With a logical and compassionate approach, Eden Burger supplies a rotating menu chocked full of healthy eats!
Ice Cream Rollery
who doesn’t love ice cream rolls? It’s like the Gatorade bottle with the squeeze cap - it just tastes so much better this way! Their nut-free ice cream is made right in front of you as this place has dairy and vegan options.
The cold plate is 20 degrees below zero as the preparer smashes, chops spread and scrapes your dessert into finely textured ice cream rolls. This Thai-inspired parlor also serves lobster rolls and edible cookie dough.
Columbus is where it’s at!
