Megastar Chadwick Boseman’s life, battling cancer and leaving a legacy


"Wakanda Forever!" If you keep up with Marvel's movies, then you know all about the cross-armed salute. Also known as the Black Panther, Chadwick Boseman, the lead actor, recently passed away at the prime of his acting career.









Despite fighting villains on big screens, Boseman also struggled with a personal battle. In 2016, the megastar was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer. This didn't deter him from leading a life of purpose while giving hope to others.


On 12 September 2018, the Chadwick Boseman visited children with cancer at the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.





SirusXM's viral video interview of 2018 also shows Boseman breaking down while recalling two terminally ill boys who succumbed to cancer while eagerly awaiting the release of Black Panther.


Following his untimely demise, the hospital tweeted the memories, courage, and joy Chadwick Boseman took with him when he visited the ailing children.


Some of the movies the actor filmed between surgeries and chemotherapy as revealed by his family include August Wilson's Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, Da 5 Bloods, Marshall, and Black Panther.


A gifted thespian



The news regarding Chadwick Boseman's passing shocked the entire world. Renowned for the role of King T'Challa in Marvel's groundbreaking film Black Panther, the actor was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2016, and he eventually succumbed to the disease on August 28 at the age of 43.


Between his cinematic adventures at Marvel and endless memorable historical films, Chadwick portrayed the image of a true Hollywood star.


When it came to bringing out the real characters of historical figures such as James Brown and Jackie Robinson, Chadwick Boseman inspired many with dignified performances.




When chosen to play the legendary roles, Chadwick brought a remarkable degree of purpose and care on the table.

Many of his fans, fellow actors and creators continue to eulogize Boseman across various social media platforms. He is survived by his wife and a parent.


He was laid to rest in South Carolina, at the Welfare Baptist Church Cemetery in Belton, almost 11 miles from his Anderson's hometown.
