Vanessa Bryant Responds to Her Mom's Embarrassing Lawsuit

Vanessa Bryant has stated categorically that Kobe Bryant would be disappointed after her mom filed a fraud lawsuit. She termed the move as "unimaginably hurtful."

68-year old Sofia Laine, Kobe Bryant's widow's mother, sued her daughter in a Superior Court complaint in Orange County.

The 48-page document filed by Sofia Laine claims she was entitled to some compensation. Laine said she had worked as a nanny for Kobe and Vanessa before the legend of the NBA player's demise this year.

In her statement, Laine said Kobe promised to take care of her, and she counted on his words for her life needs.

On the other hand, Vanessa disputed the claims stating she had supported her mother for two decades. She added that during that period, she did not work as a nanny or a personal assistant.

Kobe's widow added she had been a stay-at-home mom, which enabled her to give full care to her daughter Capri 18 months, Bianka 4, Natalia 17, and the late 13-year-old Gigi.

She also stated that they allowed her mother to live in some of their properties because she claimed she didn't have the means to support herself following her husband's divorce.
