Nuggets Erase 3-1 Deficit to Defeat Clippers & Face Lakers

Updated: Sep 19, 2020

Everything came together in Game 7 for the Denver Nuggets. Jamal Murray dropped 40 points & Nikola Jokic tallied a triple double as the Nuggets eliminated the Los Angeles Clippers to advance into the Western Conference Finals.

Shock the World

This Denver team has struggled to play as a cohesive unit throughout the playoffs. Thankfully, for basketball purists worldwide, the Nuggets were down but not out. In an incredibly difficult fashion, they utilized a patient approach unto victory.

Before the playoffs started, Denver did not have Gary Harris active due to injury. Since, Gary Harris (Michigan State) has been providing elite defense & terrific perimeter play.

The emergence of a “glue guy” proves crucial for a team that passes the ball with laser-crisp precision.

Nikola Jokic proves that when he gives full effort he can dominate the game. This man has struggled in the bubble with being less unselfish for his team. He caught his stride as a passing facilitator & is the ideal player for a “one game at a time” mentality.

The Joker dominated Game 7 despite going 5-13 & still managed to rack up a triple double.

As another Doc Rivers squad collapsed in the fourth quarter, the Nuggets capitalized on a lackluster performance from their opponent.*

The Conference Finals’ opponents are set, now it is time to settle in & simmer down with The Wright Life.

*Paul George started the bubble as the only player to shoot below 25% in their first three playoff games since Bob Cousy. PG’s teammates Patrick Beverly & Marcus Morris laughed @ Damian Lillard from the LAC bench & sent him jabs on social media following the Blazers bubble exit.
