About

Wright’s Way Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting families with babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and improving maternal mental health outcomes. We believe that every family deserves a healthy start, emotionally, physically, and mentally.

Through our care package program, community advocacy, and maternal wellness events, we provide tangible and emotional support to families navigating one of the most challenging times in their lives. Our programs create safe spaces for healing, advocacy, and education, helping families thrive beyond the NICU experience.

Our Mission

To provide physical, emotional, and maternal mental health support to families with babies in the NICU because all families deserve a healthy outcome.

Our Vision

A world where every parent feels supported, empowered, and equipped during and after their NICU journey.

OUR WHY

Wright’s Way Foundation was born out of love, faith, and a NICU journey that changed our lives forever.

After our daughter, Chosen, was born, Trish spent 23 days in Riverside Methodist Hospital’s High-Risk Unit before giving birth. Chosen then spent 27 days in the NICU, where Trish and Abba spent 8–12 hours a day by her side. Every morning felt like a race to the NICU, each of us eager to see who would get to hold her first.

In fact, the 2nd Annual Columbus Caribbean Festival was planned right from that hospital — in the High-Risk Unit, the NICU, and even in Riverside’s lobby. That season of our lives was the most isolating and challenging time. It also revealed something deeply concerning: a lack of resources and education for families during and after leaving the NICU.

After Chosen came home, we knew we had to be part of the solution. On her first birthday, we donated 25 NICU care packages to families walking the same path we once did. Later that same year, we doubled that number to 50. When we officially formed our board, we proudly delivered our first 100 NICU care packages — marking the start of something bigger than us.

Wright’s Way Foundation continues to grow from that same heart — to serve, support, and stand beside families through one of the hardest, most sacred journeys they’ll ever walk.
