Neonatal Intensive Care Unit - Mom Care Packages
Having a newborn in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is one of the most stressful moments in a mothers life. The time spent in the NICI department can be physically, mentally, emotionally and financially exhausting. Four (4) times a year our program donates care packages filled with essentials needed to survive the time spent in the NICU department.
CARNIVAL EXPERIENCE - COLUMBUS CARIBBEAN FESTIVAL
This program allows low income families to experience Caribbean culture with a six (6) month dance culture program.
Program participants will learn traditional dances, learn Caribbean culture, learning to prepare Caribbean food.
The program will end at the Columbus Caribbean Festival where participants will perform a concert during the festival, teach festival attendees traditional dances while wearing traditional Caribbean carnival costumes.
FOOD TRUCK BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
This program assists aspiring business owners in low income areas to gain knowledge on running their very own food truck business.
This eight (8) week course will go over the ins and outs of the food truck business, establishing their own food truck and earning funds selling food at local festivals and events. .
CHEF SHOWCASE DEVELOPMENT - COLUMBUS
FOOD & WINE
This four (4) week program develops inspiring chefs in low income areas the opportunity to train with high level chef to and learn how to display their talents in front of an audience. Chefs will end the program performing a real live food demonstration in front of thousands at the Columbus Food & Wine Festival. The two-day festival brings together the cities love for wine and food together all for a good cause while raising funds to assist moire chefs.
