Supporting families, NICU parents, and community partners through education, awareness, and compassionate, trauma-informed care.
Our trainings strengthen the emotional wellness of families and improve the way providers and organizations support maternal and NICU communities. We offer workshops for families and caregivers, as well as professional development training for providers and partner organizations.
Trainings may be offered in-person or virtual depending on the host organization.


Maternal Mental Health Awareness & Support Training
For families, caregivers, partners, and community members.
This workshop helps families better understand maternal mental health and the emotional changes that can occur during pregnancy, postpartum, or after a NICU experience. Participants learn how to recognize warning signs, reduce stigma around asking for help, and connect with trusted support resources.
Participants will learn:
• Common signs of postpartum depression and anxiety
• The emotional impact of birth trauma and NICU experiences
• How partners & loved ones can provide support
• When to seek professional care and where to find it
• Local and community-based support resources

Life After the NICU
Emotional & Mental Health Transition
For NICU parents, caregivers, and NICU alumni families.
This training supports families as they transition from the NICU to life at home. The session focuses on emotional healing, rebuilding confidence, and navigating stress, fear, or overwhelm that may follow discharge.
Participants will learn:
• How NICU experiences can affect mental health
• Coping strategies for fear, guilt, and medical anxiety
• Supporting bonding and attachment after hospitalization
• Partner and sibling emotional support
• Where to access continued peer & community support
Format options: Workshop or support-circle hybrid · In-person or virtual



Trauma-Informed Support for Maternal & NICU Families
Doulas, social workers, case managers, nonprofit staff, CHWs, peer supporters, and care providers
This professional development training strengthens trauma-informed, compassionate care approaches for families experiencing postpartum stress or NICU-related emotional challenges.
Participants will learn:
• Trauma-informed communication practices
• Emotional + psychological responses to NICU & postpartum stress
• Supporting families without retraumatizing
• Boundaries, scope of support, and referral protocols
• Crisis indicators and escalation pathways
Format options: 2–3 hour workshop · Virtual or in-person
Ideal for: agencies, hospitals, universities, and community partners
