Let's advocate for NICU families and equitable healthcare in Ohio.
Each year, thousands of Ohio families experience the challenges of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Many face long hospital stays, emotional strain, and significant financial burdens. For Black families, the impact is even greater — with preterm birth rates nearly 1.5 times higher than other populations.
On NICU Advocacy Day, we’re bringing together NICU parents, healthcare professionals, community advocates, and supporters to meet with state senators and representatives. Together, we will:
Share personal NICU stories
Highlight the importance of maternal mental health resources
Advocate for policies that support NICU families and healthcare providers
